There are so many benefits to HIIT…just google it and you’ll get a nice long list, but honestly there are benefits to just moving your body. I’m still enjoying HIIT on days I don’t go to the gym and don’t have work.
I don’t workout on days I have work. God bless the nurses that are on their feet for the 12 to 13 hours and manage to squeeze in a workout before or after work, but I am not one of those peeps. On days I don’t have work I work out at home and do a HIIT session which I love or if the hubs and I both have some time we’ll go to the gym.
Since our move from The Valley to San Bernardino County we have been walking a LOT. We live in a super safe area so it’s nice to be able to walk either super early or after the sun has set. On days I am off, but hubby still has to go in we’ve been getting up at 6am to do a nice little walk. We also do after dinner walks everyday that I am home.
If we need to grab a couple of bananas or something random we are within walking distance of grocery stores so we’ll just take a quick walk over. It’s been so nice to live somewhere where walking more is possible!
Besides the walking not much else has changed in terms of fitness. I have always said and will always say there is no right way to “exercise.” Every body is different and every body reacts differently to different movements. You gotta do what’s good for your body and something your lifestyle can maintain-that’s a healthy life.
What have you guys been doing to keep your body movin’ and groovin’?
I try yo exercise on the rowing machine. It is amazing how fit I can keep by using it. When one age it is so important to keep moving no matter what to stay healthy and mobile.

Ooo that sounds like fun! I don’t think we have that at my gym, but maybe I haven’t looked hard enough. Thank you for sharing!!

I have no idea how some people do it! After a long day, the last thing I want to do is an intense workout. Kudos to those who do!
And it’s great that you guys can walk everywhere! I love walking whenever possible 🙂
